We offer a range of institutional scholarships, and financial aid is available to those who apply and qualify.

Loans and Grants

To determine whether you qualify for federal financial aid, you’ll need to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Grants and loans are available for undergraduate students who qualify, and loans are available for graduate students who qualify.

Potomac Scholarship Opportunities

Multiple Family Member University of the Potomac Scholarship

University of the Potomac offers families with more than one member attending the University concurrently a scholarship equal to a 20% reduction in the credit hour tuition rate in effect at that time.

Good Hope Scholarship

The Good Hope Scholarship aims to support the educational aspirations of youth within the Washington Metropolitan Area. Qualifying scholarship recipients will receive $1,000 per year for their studies at the University of the Potomac toward costs not covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Alumni Undergraduate International Student Scholarship – ESL to Undergraduate

This scholarship is for students who have completed the English as a Second Language (ESL) program at UOTP who progress to a graduate degree at our Washington, DC or Falls Church, VA campuses. It is renewable each year provided students meet academic performance requirements and enrollment conditions. Visit our financial aid page or contact an admissions advisor to learn more.

Alumni Doctorate Student Scholarship

Graduates of a UOTP master’s degree program who enroll in a doctoral degree with us may be eligible for a $2,000 scholarship, plus a waiver of all technology fees.

Doctorate Student Scholarship for Veterans

Military veterans who enroll in a UOTP doctoral degree program may become eligible for a $2,000 scholarship, plus a waiver of all technology fees for the duration of their program.

International Students Tuition Scholarship Program

The International Students Tuition Scholarship can cover up to 35% of the normal international student tuition cost at University of the Potomac (student must pay all fees). The scholarship is available to first-time undergraduate and graduate students, and can be renewed annually.

Alumni Graduate Student Scholarship

This scholarship is available to graduates of a UOTP undergraduate or graduate degree who enroll in a further graduate program. The scholarship is available to domestic students, international students, and ESL program completers. It is renewable each year provided students meet the academic performance and enrollment conditions.

Military Student Benefits

Eligible service members, veterans, and qualifying military family members may be eligible to use GI Bill® and other benefits to cover the cost of their education.
